Condo B6 - Superior Ocean View

3 friends enjoyed our stay for 11 days. We found the condo equipped with everything we needed, including things for the beach. The pictures are accurate, the beach was great for swimming and walking, the location fantastic for exploring the island (assuming a car), the grounds maintained very well and friendly, responsive staff. The deck isn’t large and could use more chairs and some options for shade for mid morning.

The location, location, location was fabulous. The cute condo is a little small for 4 people, BUT we were hardly in there all at the same time so it worked and it was stocked so well. The pool is smaller than it looks in the pictures AND it looks like it belongs to the condo that is fenced in with it, so if you chose this location for the pool, just know that. The patio overlooking the beach is beautiful and our group of 12 used it A LOT during the four days that we were there. We saw a sea turtle the day that we swam at the beach, so that really enhanced our stay. Again, the location is wonderful. The parking spots are super tight, so make sure you have a skinny driver to pull your vehicle in and out. LOL I would definitely come back to this condo or to the complex again and I would recommend it to my friends. So glad that we were able to come to Maui after the house that we originally rented in Lahaina burned down last year. OH, the flowers and plants on the property are simply gorgeous.

We stayed at Kihei Sands B6 in July 2023. The location was centrally located to reach all our Maui adventures from sport fishing out of Maalaea with Rascal, snorkeling out of Makena Landing, Trilogy catamaran sailing from Kaanapali Beach, and sunrise at Haleakala National Park. The condo was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare the fish that was caught during the fishing trip. Everything was exactly as described. It was very comfortable for our teenagers to sleep with the separate twin beds. We thoroughly enjoyed waking up every morning and walking along Sugar Beach and stopping by the Sugar Beach Bakery for some masaladas and banana bread. Would definitely recommend B-6 for a comfortable stay at Sugar Beach, Maui.

We stayed with our family of 5 in Unit B-6 in July, 2023. We booked directly through the site to save on fees. Everything was exactly as described in the pictures. We enjoyed the B-6 unit with the king size bed and 2 twin beds and sofa bed for our teenagers, so everyone was comfortable. The condo came fully stocked with towels, beach chairs, a cooler, and basic condo supplies and is fully air conditioned. They had a stock of snorkels, boogie boards, floats and sun block available for all the guests in the pool area. Kihei Sands is centrally located on Sugar Beach, so it was just a short drive to all the beaches and destinations, including S. Kihei - food trucks, Kam 1,2,3, Threes, Kihei Caffe (10min), West Maui - Trilogy Tours out of Kaanapali, Lahaina, Dragons Teeth, Napili Blow hole, Petroglyphs (30-40 min), Wailea -Monkeypod, Gannon's, Makena Landing, Makena (Big) Beach, Ahihi Beach (20 min), Maalea Harbor - Rascal Sport Fishing, Maui Aquarium, Hula Cookies (10 min) and Haleakala National Park - Kula Lodge, Ocean Vodka Distillery, Surfing Goat Dairy (40min-60 min). Sugar Beach is a quieter area and on a long stretch of beach, so we started every morning with a nice walk up and down the beach, watching the canoes and paddle boats, and getting yummy masaladas, spam masubi, and delicious banana bread at Sugar Beach Bakery. Ululani's shave ice and the ABC store are also right there, within walking distance. It did get windy in the afternoon, but we found most of Maui to be windier in the afternoon, and it did not deter us from our evening walks along the beach. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Kihei Sands and would stay there again.

As always the unit was clean and well labeled in the kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed the patio and community grilling area. Access to boogie boards and other water items is much appreciated. Staff is very knowledgeable about local places to dine and tourist places to visit. Kihei Sands is a family friendly environment we enjoy spending vacation time at.

2 bath 1bedroom and 1 bedroom loft. Wonderful lani with great view, would have liked to have 4 chairs that fit on the lani. Kitchen was nice, needed less pans and more serving pieces, some editing would be useful to free up space. Good selection of knives. Loft bedroom has a hard to use vessel sink and less privacy then most people are accustomed to although we liked it and have come back more than once to this condo. The outside gardens and pool with access to the beautiful beach can’t be beat!

A relaxing 10 day stay in North Kihei, Maui in January 2023. Convenient and central island location. Car rental (Costco) is suggested to explore island and shopping. Unit was clean and comfortable with a nice view toward beach. Condo patio area superb with comfortable chairs, umbrellas and morning coffee. Pool is perfect to cool off in. BEACH is STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL and walking in either direction is easy, being only steps away. No seaweed like further south in Kihei. We plan on returning next January.

Kihei Sands was an incredible place for our family to stay! We traveled with several other families, and this place was fantastic for all of us. The location was perfect for us as we were there to explore the whole island. The condos were clean, check-in was easy, and Sugar Beach was a perfect spot for all of us! Condo B6 was wonderful. It came fully equipped with everything we needed to have a beach vacation. The complex has plenty of pool and beach toys for adults and kids to use and the location in Kihei is easy to get around to other spots on the island.

Wonderful location and home for our family for our vacation. Home had everything we needed and was adequately stocked. Clean and worked well for our family. The couch bed is in need of a new mattress. Our youngest daughters slept on that and you could feel the springs. Wasn’t very comfortable. Unit is well taken care of otherwise though.

I’ve stayed at Kihei Sands before and loved it, booked a return trip for my 50th and then cancelled and rebooked 3 times due to covid. Finally got to make the trip and it was wonderful. Stayed in B6 this visit and absolutely loved it, couldn’t ask for a better stocked kitchen, loved learning the history of all the art and the doorway growth chart. We were set to share this 2-bdr with the couple from Davis, but they canceled for health concerns. We flew from SeaTac on Alaskan airlines and found this rental completely satisfactory. The location was excellent and would work without a car for many of us. The parking was adequate, but tight. (Be able to handle your vehicle competently). The complex is directly on the beach with great views. We enjoyed the local art displayed in our unit. We liked the s'mores welcome party our first night.

Condo was equipped with all that we needed for our stay from towels to kitchen. The condo association had beach chairs, beach toys and body boards to barrow for the day. Great place if you are looking to be away from bigger resorts but centrally located to the north,west and mountain areas of Maui.

B6 was very clean which is so important to me. It was a beautiful room with great art and a magnificent view. There was plenty of amenities which made us feel right at home. The general property and pool area were beautiful and well kept and everything was very clean. Beautiful plants everywhere and plenty of chairs to relax on. And two bbq’s so every time we went to cook outside there was lots of room for all the guests that were there.
So the bed. It was extremely sunk in. Both sides of the mattress and the pillows were lumpy and not supportive at all. Were active and after a 5 mile short hike and having a bed that is uncomfortable made us so unrested. I was very disappointed in this, it made everything we did on vacation feel extra exhausting. We have friends staying in 2 other rooms and they had they same experience. So I would stay here again possibly but bring my own pillow for sure.

We have stayed at this condo on Sugar Beach many, many times over the last 30 years, and each time we have had a great experience. The units are always neat, clean and well equipped. The pool is small but very nice with lots of patio chairs. The beach in front of the condo is a great place for a walk or soaking in the ocean and the sunsets are beautiful. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to our next visit to Kihei Sands.

We had a wonderful time in Maui and would recommend this condo to small families that want a great beach away from crowds. The condo was very clean and the property was well maintained. You truly are only steps from the nice sand beaches that have great swimming and boogie boarding waves. There are plenty of lounge chairs also available if you don't want to get sandy. The unit is a little older, but well maintained and very clean. Has all amenities that you would need. The pictures online make it look a little bigger than it is, but it was big enough.

The location is excellent for several reasons: it's a quick drive from the airport, close to many restaurants, and most importantly, it is literally on the beach. This stretch of beach is wide, children and family friendly, and gently sloping (great for walking). The condo association is pleasant and we met many very nice people from all walks of life. It is an older building and the units were a bit tight for our family (two adults, three children), but the location overrode this by far. Kihei is a more down to earth town, with plenty of shopping and dining. If you are trying to experience Maui outside of the realm of the large resort artificially generated environment, you will love it here.

I am so glad we found this gem. We wont be going anywhere else while visiting Maui. The condos we booked were very nice, clean, comfortable. It was the perfect location, a few steps away from the ocean and very close to all locations we needed to be at..
The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed talking to John.
I highly recommend Kihei Sands to anyone with or without kids.
We took our kids on this trip, Kihei Sands provided beach towels, sand, pool and ocean toys for our kids to play with which was great since we didnt have to buy them for our stay.
We had an amazing time and cant wait to stay at Kihei Sands again in April.

We could hear the waves from inside our condo and were completely relaxed. My 5year old loved the pool and all of the toys provided for the beach and pool. This was a lovely place to stay! The condo itself was simple, but wonderful. It is a few away from the water, but the view is still great. The condo building itself is also wonderful! Everyone meets at night on the patio under the hanging lights to relax and chat. We drank wine and played games and made great memories with our family. You'll meet lovely people from all over the globe. They also have a sweet morning coffee time on the patio for everyone to start their day off with magnificent views of the ocean.
A few notes--The carts to take your luggage to your room were past their days and need replaced. There is no elevator, so guests have to be able to walk up one flight of stairs. The condo did need an anti-slip mat for the tub/shower floor (especially for elderly guests), but we just picked one up at a nearby store.
You will not believe how close you are to the beautiful ocean each and every day you are there. It is mellow and quiet and exemplifies every reason we went there--to relax, unwind, see beautiful Maui, and bond as a family. This was a lovely place to vacation for our 3-generation crew. We made life-long memories and we'll be back.

Quiet complex, close to the ocean, excellent and attentive staff. Check in was very easy. The extras like "smores night" for the kids were so appreciated! The units are a bit old but the location, beach, pool and amenities definitely make up for it. We found our kitchen very well stocked and the beds were extremely comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

With the exception of getting into our condo when we arrived our stay was excellent. Well managed and very clean. Well stocked with necessities and every worked.

We stumbled upon this place through homeaway and absolutely loved it. It is small enough that kids can run around from the condo to the pool to the beach and back without worries. It's location is perfect on a very nice beach which is not too wavy. It is also very close to the Kahului airport. The condo was amazing with all the amenities you can imagine. There was a lot of attention to details and we never felt like we were missing anything. The concierge service that came with the rental was awesome, we used her to book a snorkelling trip and a luau and she always did that with lots of enthusiasm and kindness.
We will likely come back to Kihei Sands.

We completely loved our stay at Kihei Sands Condos! We stayed one night in unit B11 and the next 6 nights in unit B6. They were both in great condition, clean and comfy! We enjoyed drinking coffee on the beach in the mornings, grilling in the evening, meeting other people and of course being close to everything! The staff were all very nice and professional, from the front office, to the handy man and the cleaning crew. We can't wait to come back and spend more time at Kihei Sands!

Firstly it was not our first stay at this condo complex but our 8th in the past 10 years. We have always enjoyed our stay here and have recommended it to many others. The 21 days of our past stay here were very enjoyable and we appreciated the up-dating of the condo especially the new A/C installation. Definitely planning a return.

All things were just awesome, especially Cheri and Jonathan Thurgood, the best that kept us safe and made sure our stay was an excellent staycation. We love this couple and the whole place in itself.

The condo offered everything our family needed to have a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location is great for exploring in every direction, and we enjoyed the access to Sugar Beach right off the patio. We would definitely return here!

This was our first time to Hawaii. It was a great vacation full of beautiful beaches, friendly people and an all-round wonderful experience. We would come again. The pictures provided don't do it justice. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans etc. and the condo was very comfortable.
