Condo B5 - Superior Ocean View

loved the fact the complex has a small number of units and ample access to patio tables, chairs, pool chairs. People are great, beach is great and it's awesome to do some whale watching from the patio. Only complaints would be the pool water temperature is a little cold, and the bugs in the evening can be a little annoying.

We returned to the Kihei Sands Condos again this year. Even better! Plenty of lounging chairs and the beach is only steps away. Can walk for miles along Sugar Beach and view the sunset each night. Whale watching in Jan/Feb. Highly recommended.

This was our 4th time staying at Kihei Sands and it continues to be a wonderful place to vacation. This was our 1st time staying in unit B5 and it did not disappoint . The unit was well maintained and had everything we needed for our family of 4. We love having lots of lounge chairs out by the beach to enjoy relaxing and reading while listening to the ocean and watching the sunset . From the quiet and beautiful sugar beach to the well maintained grounds it is one of our favourite places to vacation and it will certainly not be our last time here .

The staff were friendly and helpful and the other guests were always enjoyable to sit with on the patio. Morning coffee was a real nice touch. A wonderful place to stay. We loved being right on the beach and the condos came well equipped with anything we may have needed. My husband and I and our 2 teenagers stayed at unit B5 and it was perfect for our family. The condo was beautiful and afforded us separation from the girls with their bed and bath downstairs and our upstairs. The condo had air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout and updated baths and kitchen. There was also a laundry room which was nice to have. The condo was right on the beach, and there was a cooler and umbrella in the closet for beach use, also many communal pool floaties which many people used taking their young children to the pool.

Check in/out was easy , the app gave all the information needed in one place.
**The only issue we had was the dishwasher didn’t work (water wouldn’t drain), but it wasn’t a big deal since we didn’t plan on doing much cooking. I hand washed the few cups and utensils we used. I’m sure I could of reached out to the management & they would of sent someone to address it - but we didn’t feel it was necessary.
Still give it a 5 star review. Happy with our stay

This location was everything i could have asked for, for my first time in Maui. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and well stocked. We even had time to enjoy a few of the board games that were provided, which was something we didn’t even think we’d need on our stay but it was great for late night entertainment. The beach is so close and the pool/bbq area is really nice. Grocery shopping is not very far at all and so convenient, since we had a full kitchen it was a great option for us to stock up on thing we could make quickly. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Maui!

Condo B5 at Kihei Sands was the perfect setting for our Maui vacation. The condo was modern, clean and had everything you could possibly need to enjoy your vacation. The grounds were beautiful and the view breathtaking. Just a few steps to Sugar Beach, and this beach was perfect for sunbathing, snorkeling, tubing and kids playing; furthermore, the beach rarely had more than a few people on it, which added to the relaxation. The location was central, so it was very easy to get anywhere. This is an excellent rental and I could not recommend it highly enough!

Loved the easy access to a quiet, beautiful beach. The unit was pretty, comfortable, well-equipped and well-airconditioned. It has a quiet, family feel - the courtyard area often had families grilling, eating, just steps from the water front. The grounds are lovely and the view from the patio is breathtaking. We loved catching crabs and taking long walks on beautiful Sugar Beach. Extras like nightlights, ceiling fans, a/c in each room, beach towels, ice maker, condo sand toys, beach chairs, and floats, made our stay so enjoyable.

Unit B5 was clean and ready for our arrival - right down to the beach towels rolled up on each bed ready and waiting. The condo is beautifully decorated and has very comfortable beds and furniture. The kitchen is VERY well stocked with anything you could possibly need including a tray to carry your items down the patio for the nightly BBQ's. We could not have been more pleased and will absolutely be back for another stay!!

Great communication prior to our stay. The condo itself was clean, cute and comfortable. Even better ocean view from the dining area and lanai than the photos show. The property was nicely landscaped, clean pool, nice patio and grassy area with plenty of lounge chairs and tables and chairs, with the bonus of two large gas grills. Small complex with friendly guests. The beach was literally steps away and awesome for swimming and relaxing. The area was quiet, not touristy, also meaning we had to drive to restaurants and grocers just a few miles away. We couldn't have asked for a better experience when all we wanted was a relaxing week. Will absolutely recommend and will stay again.

This area has been our get away for the past 15 years. We love to walk on the beach and enjoy the sunshine. Our units are 37 steps to the beach. The units are very clean. We have a great time with the people that stay here. The only thing that needs attention is the porch light. It wasn't working.

We we're a large group so we had 5 rentals here and I was able to see all the different units and they were all great. They all come fully equipped.

This was our first family vacation to Hawai‘i. We immediately fell in love with Hawai‘i and also Kihei Sands.
We felt at home while staying at Kihei Sands and loved our condo we stayed in.
What a breathtaking view and just all around perfect location! We really appreciated the beach towels, sand toys and ocean toys that were provided and also loved having the laundry facility available.
The office staff and John were inviting and kind, full of information and very helpful with all of our needs.

We loved staying at Kihei Sands Condo. Overall, the condo was great - clean, excellent location, pool, beach supplies to use in front of the beach. We thought that because of the location in North Kihei, it was a great location to either travel north or south on the island.

A couple of things to note - we stayed with another couple, and slept in the loft area, and didn't really feel like we had our own privacy, as every noise from the main level was easily heard. There was also not enough toilet paper for us to last the full 12 days of our stay, and we had to purchase more on our own.

Lots of cooking supplies, a few spices, beach towels, 2 sets of bath towels for the 12 days, lounge chairs to hang out close to the beach, these were all positives of the condo.

We could not have been happier with our choice of places to stay on our first trip to Maui. We stayed in B5 and loved it. The decor is perfect. Recently redecorated it provides just the right amount of beach/surf design to make you feel like you're on vacation. The unit was in good repair and spotless. Great housekeeping staff. Nothing beats being able to walk from your condo to the beach in 10 seconds flat! Nice patio with 2 large girls, which we used one night. Pool looked inviting, but we preferred the salt water and sand. Office staff/management was warm and available. For those of you that think emptying your own trash or not having daily maid service is not for your vacation, then don't stay here. For the rest of you, who realize it's not essential to a great vacation, this place was awesome. We will return!

We had a great stay at the Kihei Sands. We stayed in unit B5 and it was great. Very clean and perfect amount of room for 4 adults, 1 toddler. The staff was amazing - I neglected to ask for a pack n play ahead of time, but they had one on hand for me and brought it right to the condo.

The only criticism is that I was unaware that the second bedroom was a loft - I don't think this isn't obvious from the listing. (A friend who was traveling with us echoed this criticism as well.) So if you are traveling with a small child, the loft bedroom might not be an option as the stairs are very steep.

We had an amazing time during our stay in Maui March 12-19. The condo was beautifully updated with gorgeous views from the Lanai and all the windows throughout the unit. The location was great also, at the end of Kihei but very central to jump on a highway to the other parts of the island with no problems. For me it was a more quiet and private beach area which I truly enjoyed but my husband and kids liked a little more surf and more hustle and bustle which was fine as we ventured out to explore other parts of the island every day. The entire property was extremely clean & tidy, the layout of the condo itself and the grounds were perfectly planned. The general manager Karrie and Property Managers Sue & Mike were very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this rental and would stay here again on future visits! Our last night we enjoyed a day at the beach in Kaanapali jumping off the black rock beach cliff finishing with a meal at Bubba Gump in Lahaina off Front street - totally recommend it, great service and views! Also surf lessons are a must, Big Kahuna was our choice, they provided us a ground lesson as well as on water training (2 hours) that gave us a great start & sent us on our way. Also Sail the Trilogy Excursions to Molokini on snorkel/whale watching tour - this is a MUST do an incredible experience and the staff was very knowledgeable & extremely accommodating. Visit Ho'okipa Beach Park with amazing views, watch surfers and see the turtles resting place for the day. Baby Beach just down from Ho'okipa is also great especially for the kiddies as it is reefed off and turtles also are among those parts, don't be surprised if one comes right up and rests with you on the beach :-) Big Beach in Makena is also something. Last but no least a Luau, if you can get to see one, completely worth it - we went to the Hyatt for ours and was enjoyed by all!

This was our second stay at Kihei Sands and it was great. B5 was a very nice unit. The living furniture was very comfortable for relaxing in if you wanted to stay out of the heat or if it was raining. We had access to streaming movies, etc. Kihei sands is a very mellow complex to stay in and I like that. The beach out front is perfect for swimming in at all times and great for taking morning/evening walks on. You can walk along the beach to get to the local market, bakery, or shaved ice place. I really like B5 because they had most of what you would need in a kitchen, very comfortable living room and dining room set-up, and nice bedroom arrangements. It is so easy to stay here and we did not need to contact the office once as everything was taken care of and check in/out is all done on your own. I highly recommend Kihei Sands! It's definitely my go-to retreat for Maui.

Jean and I loved our stay in 5B. The unit had everything we needed. The furniture was lovely and the beds and pillows were very comfy. We especially liked all of the artwork. Being right on the beach made for a great setting. We attended one of the managers' events. It was a good way to meet other guests. We appreciated having use of the mini cooler and freezer packs since we explored the island from top to bottom. The owner as obviously upgraded the unit.

Overall we had a great stay at B5. The place is exactly as shown in the pictures with a cozy modern look. The unit is well equipped with what you need for a family holiday. We even managed to make a few meals in the evenings. The Lanai is a bit small with only two seats so it didn't get used much. The property is well maintained and small enough you feel comfortable chatting with other guests on the property. Sue, Mark, and Karrie are great hosts and they tried their best to accommodate us. There's a small technical hick-up at check in at 11pm (code didn't work), but it was resolved the asap the next morning. Carrie accommodated a late check out based on availability and that was greatly appreciated! Thank you Kihei Sands and all the staff that made our holiday a memorable. I would recommend this place if you want a quiet spot right on the beach in Kihei.

I took advantage of the convenience of the laundry facilities also, and had everything freshly laundered for our next island jaunt. The condo is located in a great central location, convenient to Haleakala, the road to Hana, Lahaina, and the airport. The property management folks were the best! Due to the weather and the high winds, the only day for a sail/snorkel trip to Molokini was on the day we were to check out at 10:00. I asked if there was any possibility that we could have a late check-out so we could shower after the snorkel trip. Since no one was checking in later that day, the management was gracious to extend our check-out time to 3:00 pm, to allow us time to return from the snorkel trip, shower, finish packing, and be on our way. we could not have asked for more from the accommodations or the management staff! Thanks so much! We hope to come back. If we do, we will be staying at Kihei Sands!

Fantastic place to stay

Another Christmas holiday spent at Kihei Sands and after going there since 1979, it never disappoints. Starting with the enthusiasm of managers Jonathan and Cheri, who go out of their way to make your experience there fun and relaxing, coffee set up on the patio every morning, special weekly events organized for any of the guests who want to take part, and a wonderful festive atmosphere that we always enjoy at this time of year. Everything around the complex is carefully tended to from the gardens to the pool. Our unit was perfect, well stocked, air conditioned, and a stones throw away from the beautiful beach. We greatly enjoyed our nightly BBQing out on the patio and watching the spectacular sunsets . We can't wait to come back!!

location is good & convenient to other parts of Maui. The beach has soft sand and there weren't many people on it! Plenty of boogie boards & chairs & noodles to use. The condo was clean and well equipped. Instructions were very clear and we were very impressed with the emails when a water main break occurred. The construction next door and highway noise were distractions. One interaction with the main office was brief & not very helpful but overall a friendly environment is encountered.

Everything you could possible need was there including a crockpot and blender! Beach towels, cooler, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, etc. Coffee in the morning on the terrace. S'mores on the fire pit and pot luck weekly. Great location and quiet.

We have stayed at the Kihei Sands a few times and this recent experience did not disappoint. Friendly management helping watch over the resort definitely made us feel welcome. Clean condos and public patio area, we felt right at home.

The condo was very nice and a great place to relax in the evening. The fact that it was on the beach was an excellent bonus! I thought the site would be more isolated and was surprised at the hotels on either side. The property was very clean and the beds were comfy. We had hoped for a late check out and were a tiny bit disappointed that we couldn't have one since our plane left at 11 at night. We hope to come back sometime soon. Maui is beautiful and laid back - just what we were hoping for. Lots of little extras - pineapple on arrival, toffee when we left and beautiful flowers that lasted the week. Kitchen was well appointed for our personal cooking.

We chose this condo because of a recommendation from a friend, and also it is hard to find a condo in Kihei right on the beach. The beach here is quiet, and not too many waves. Kids loved to play in the sand. A very community feel, with the condo managers organizing potluck and marshmallow nights (we were not able to attend). Beach toys and boogie boards assorted for people to use (nothing formal, just what is left behind). In our unit we had two window air conditioners which were pretty noisy but you probably don't even need them with the ocean breezes. The balcony is very small but enough to sit and have a coffee and watch the beach. There is some construction going on next door (we were in B5 on the S. Side). We did not experience any noise and it is hard to tell what is being built (a small cabin, maybe showhome sales centre...mabye another unit going in eventually next door). Pool is quite cold and fairly small but works for small children for a quick dip. My kids practiced snorkeling in the pool. We loved that it was a short distance to ABC stores and amazing shave ice, but that it was in a quieter location. Very central to Lahaina, Wailea, airport. We also loved watching the canoes from the canoe clubs close by practising. Def recommend!
Excellent communication from Cheri, and even when I thought I had left something (and I hadn't) she was so accommodating in trying to help me find it.

We have tried other places on Maui, but now only stay at Kihei Sands. Its location is superb in terms of proximity to Lahaina, Kahalui, South Kihei (down island) and Makena, the size of the complex, its beachfront location (wonderful walks, too!), and the pool and barbecue amenities. The managers, Jonathon and Cheri, could not have been more friendly and helpful. Our unit was clean and well equipped and well appointed, and toll free phoning from the unit to US and Canada is a bonus!

We stayed in B5 and it was absolutely wonderful. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and it felt like home. Our master bed and bath was perfect. Our favorite thing to do was enjoy our coffe on the linei watching the sun come up in the morning sun. The beach towels were wonderful and we enjoyed the community of people who gathered throughout the day in front on the lawn. Our stay was enriched by the personal attention from Jonathan and Cherri, what a gift they have been. I have been coming here for about 15 years, and it is my favorite beach and place to stay in Maui.

You can't get any closer to the beach than this, and I loved walking up the walkway to our room and seeing the ocean, so close you could almost touch it! We loved this location as it is close to everything, easy to venture out in any direction, yet just outside of the 'bustle' of Kihei. Our two bedroom suite (the upstairs loft is the master suite and it's lovely) was cozy and comfortable. The lanai was a little small, as was the pool but you can enjoy the pool and the ocean from one chair. There weren't many kids here for ours to play with, but it was very peaceful :) Unlike the big resorts, you will find EVERYTHING you need here, from beach towels, cooler, umbrellas, boogie boards, beach toys, to convenient BBQs and a well stocked kitchen with spices, salt & pepper, oil, tin foil... so nice to not have to buy all that stuff that you only need while you're there! Loved it.

Mostly is was perfect. Kitchen needed a kettle and a teapot.Didn't like it when other guests left towels,books,etc.on sun cots to reserve them and then go off for long periods of time.Selfish and thought less as places are limited

Kihei Sands is a wonderful condominium experience. As a relatively small complex you are seconds away from your car, the pool, and the beach. It is located on a quiet beach with sand to play in, waves to boogie board in, great snorkeling and miles to walk uninterrupted. We love the location as by car you are close to town, the airport and Lahina. we would definitely recommend this complex as it truly is spectacular in so many ways. It is currently under excellent management.
